Greek Island of Aegina

Aegina was the last stop on my three-island tour in the Saronic Gulf. I chose to explore this island via bus tour to visit a couple of sites that have proven to be popular with tourists.

We started at the Temple of Aphaia (this is how it is spelled on the on-site info display). It’s one of the oldest temples of its kind in Greece.

The group also stopped at the Agios Nektarios monastery, which is a beautiful facility that is undergoing restoration work.
